Midlands College of Commerce (MCC) offers comprehensive Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) services at no cost to current and former students. These services are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment, helping learners achieve their academic, career, and personal goals. Students can access up to two standard IAG services per day or schedule a personalized session at a convenient time.
 

MCC IAG Services are divided into five key categories:

1. Career Progression

   • Advice on career development and progression

   • CV and cover letter writing

   • CPD writing

   • University course information and personal statement guidance

2. ICT Training

   • Basic computer skills: keyboard, mouse, internet use

   • Online safety and computer basics

   • Job searching and IT short courses

3. Academic Support

   • English and Mathematics support

   • Assignment writing assistance

4. Signposting Services

   • Guidance on mental health and wellbeing

   • Lists of local employers, libraries, childminders, and Citizen Advice Bureaus (CAB)

   • Information on immigration, finance, COVID-19 support, and recommended course resources

5. Other Services

   • Industrial visits and trips for practical learning

   • Driving theory and hazard test guidance

   • Funding eligibility advice

   • Life in the UK test guidance

   • Short courses on essential topics: stress management, equality & diversity, health & safety, and interview preparation
      

Students can also request customized IAG sessions, combining two or more services, or request additional services not listed above.
