New Students: Initial Steps
If you have recently joined Midlands College of Commerce, please ensure you have completed the following steps:

How do I find my Programme Coordinator?
At the start of the semester:

You may see your Programme Coordinator during classes or support sessions

You can ask your lecturer if you are unsure who your Programme Coordinator is

Attendance & Engagement
Midlands College of Commerce supports students to engage consistently with their studies. Regular attendance is important for academic success, and support is available if you are experiencing difficulties.
What happens if my attendance drops?
If attendance falls below the required level, the following process may take place:

Timetable Information
Where can I find my timetable?
Your timetable will be shared by the Academic Office before the start of the semester and will also be available through your student portal.
Can I change my timetable?
Timetable changes depend on:

Registration & Enrolment
Students must complete registration before starting their studies.
Documents required for registration

Student Finance & Fees
Students who have applied for Student Finance England (SFE) should ensure their application is fully approved.
Why am I receiving tuition fee invoices?
Invoices may be generated if your Student Finance application has not yet been confirmed by the university. Students should:

Getting Started with Your Systems
Your Programme Coordinator will help you getting started with your systems.
Academic Support
Academic support is available throughout your studies. Students are encouraged to engage with their Programme Coordinator regularly, not only when difficulties arise. Your Programme Coordinator can support you with:

Personal Support
Students facing personal difficulties that may affect their studies should speak with their Programme Coordinator. Support is available throughout your studies, and students are encouraged to seek help early where needed.
Changes to Study
Students considering changes to their studies should first discuss their situation with their Programme Coordinator. Possible options may include:

Requests must follow the relevant university procedures.
Student ID & Campus Access
Students must carry their student ID card when attending campus.
Lost ID card
If you lose your ID card, please contact the Academic Office to request a replacement. A replacement fee may apply.

Complaints & Academic Appeals

Concerns are normally reviewed and addressed at the point of teaching or programme delivery wherever possible.
Formal Complaints
If the issue cannot be resolved informally, students may submit a formal complaint following the Midlands College of Commerce Student Complaints Procedure. Students should contact the Academic Office for guidance on how to submit a complaint.
Academic Appeals
Students who believe an academic decision has been made incorrectly may have the right to submit an academic appeal in accordance with university regulations.
